The story of CarPal starts with Mr. Maarten Hemmes, our Founder/CEO. An innovator and entrepreneur at heart, Maarten launched his first startup in legal technology at the tender age of 22 in the Netherlands. Maarten also has over 10 years of software development experience through his own IT company serving clients in Europe, U.S. and South East Asia. Inspired by the uberization of services and recognising the rising demand in last-mile logistics in South East Asia, Maarten launched CarPal in July 2014.

CarPal is transforming the way local goods move around in cities by enabling anyone to get any product delivered within an hour. Through our revolutionary urban logistics & on-demand delivery platform, businesses and consumers can connect real-time with local couriers, who deliver goods or run errands on their behalves anywhere in a city.

Since launch, CarPal was met with immediate success and exponential growth. CarPal is currently serving thousands of businesses across different industries and consumers in Singapore, while expanding on regionally and globally.

You are a high-energy, motivated and adaptive person who is interested in contributing to a tech startup. You are confident, proactive and resilient when it comes to sales, never afraid to make cold calls, reach out to potential customers and visit them in person to close deals. Optimistic, charismatic and articulate, you are excited about the prospect of working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment to contribute and grow with the company.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a sales manager, you are responsible for leveraging the CarPal brand to gain more business customers and manage the long-term relationship with our existing business customers.

  • You identify new target customers
  • You generate and visit new leads
  • You follow-up and visit existing leads
  • You close new deals
  • You manage and maintain a long-term relationship with existing business customers

Requirements

REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be able to work in Singapore
  • B.A. or B.S. required
  • Minimum 2 years of professional working experience in a sales-related role required
  • Excellent writing and editing skills
  • Assertive, proactive, responsive, efficient...the ability to work independently and collectively is also what we are looking for
  • Fluency in English is required; fluency/understanding in Mandarin Chinese is a plus
