Community Manager

About the Role

StartUp Jobs Asia is looking for a talented and passionate Community Manager. This is a full time position and will report directly to the Founders. Our team adds a personal touch to each of our buildings and we’re committed to empowering our members in every way. We keep our buildings full of amazing small businesses and entrepreneurs by making inspiring first impressions with everyone we meet. We’re the heart and soul of the StartUp Jobs Asia experience.

Goals and Objectives

Lead the Community Management team to achieve the following:

  • Create a collaborative environment amongst our members through events and personal
  • introductions
  • Maintain 100% occupancy. Achieve sales target goals, and manage churn
  • Drive growth and promotion of StartUp Jobs Asia service offerings
  • Effectively manage a team to ensure a healthy and growing community
  • Maintaining company standards and expectation

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage a team to reach sales goals and execute on their objectives as an individual and a team
  • Develop community initiatives designed to create connections between members, including member introductions, overseeing events, electronic and print communications, and building walkthroughs
  • Effectively manage Community Services Leads to ensure a healthy community
  • Produce comprehensive quality control reports that allow all stakeholders to improve the member experience

  • Maintain all base building documents to ensure the data is updated
  • Solve member related issues to ensure a cohesive community and manage member expectations
  • Take responsibility for sales and community dynamic
  • Oversee events to ensure there is a good balance of educational, member appreciation, and lead generating/sales related events
  • Work with your team to prepare daily, weekly and monthly reports that outline community and sales progress
  • Engage in the larger city community by attending events and networking with local start-ups and organizations



Experience and Requirements

  • Customer service and/or sales experience required
  • Business operations and/or project management required
  • Must have strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Cold outreach experience a plus
  • Understanding and experience managing a team 
  • Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills
  • Demonstrate integrity, dependability, responsibility, accountability, self-awareness, work ethic, and empathy
  • Passion and understanding for entrepreneurial communities
  • Passion and understanding for StartUp Jobs Asia mission and values
