Business Development Executive

Touristly is a travel platform that helps travellers discover, plan and book their dream holiday in minutes. Our team curates and finds the best activities, events, tours and attractions in destinations all over Asia Pacific and our customers use this content to create personalized holidays on our itinerary planner.

Responsibilities

We're looking for someone who can help grow and expand Touristly’s partner network of merchants in specific travel destinations:

  • Identify and qualify potential merchants who specialise in theme parks, tours, activities, restaurants, spas and events
  • Engage, consult and close local merchants on the benefits of featuring on Touristly
  • Cold-call new, and re-engage past merchant partners across a spectrum of categories
  • Understand and apply concepts of offer structure and strategy that are proven models for successful achievement of merchant’s desired outcomes

Requirements

  • Strong negotiation and consultation skills
  • Able to build and maintain close relationships with merchants and key suppliers across a variety of travel verticals
  • Relevant experience in sales to retail and/or online companies. Prior experience in e-commerce, travel or daily deals businesses is a big plus
  • Able to learn and adapt new web applications quickly
  • Experience in using Microsoft Office, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Powerpoint
  • Be prepared to travel within your city to meet merchants
  • Coachable, positive, enthusiastic and collaborative in spirit. A team player
  • Have a keen eye for detail, strong time management skills
  • Comfortable in a competitive environment, with evidence of personal ambition to improve
