Business Development Intern

We’re an innovation consulting firm that helps organizations discover, build and validate impactful new products and business ideas. Our expertise is in rapid prototyping, lean experimentation, agile development, proof-of-concept and MVP development. We work with leading financial institutions like DBS, OCBC, AIA, and UBS.

An exciting opportunity has arisen within our organisation for a business development intern, at SliceBread (, we work with leading corporations in Asia to create proof-of-concepts for new products and services that address big industry challenges. Our mission is to help corporations execute like startups. Each member of our young and growing team has experience building up their own startups for over four years. As a result we are used to putting on several hats when working on a project.  Our expectation is that new members are equally able to take on new challenges, be willing to learn, execute independently, take ownership of their work and hold themselves to a very high standard.

This individual should have excellent verbal and written communication schools, at least some academic or professional background in marketing & business skills, and a persistent and inherent curiosity about how to deliver better results.

About The Role

Your responsibilities would include handling introduction calls with prospective new clients, scheduling and preparing follow-up consultations for qualified business, assisting in preparing any sales collateral needed to close the deal, and collaborating with other team members on new marketing projects and initiatives.

You'd report to, and work closely with, our CEO to create and deliver pitches to prospective clients including leading financial institutions like Citi, UOB, HSBC.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Follow-up with inbound leads generated via our various marketing channels to answer questions, identify and provide relevant marketing materials, and schedule qualification calls.
  • Host qualification calls with new leads to determine whether they're a qualified fit for our services.
  • Assist our CEO with preparing custom pitches for organizations.
  • Collaborate with other members of the team on the creation of marketing materials, sales collateral, blog content, marketing automation campaigns, and other marketing projects.


Key Qualifications

  • Possess excellent written and verbal professional communication skills.
  • Comfortable speaking with new prospective clients over the phone, via email, and in-person.
  • Pursuing a degree in Marketing or Business; Preferably Bachelors in Marketing or Business or related field
