Internship Rotation | Strategy and Business Operations

TrySteve is an early stage funded startup founded and headquartered in Singapore. Our team of 7 spans across multiple cultures, skills and experiences. We’ve built a two-sided employment marketplace that’s more algorithmic trading than “newspaper classifieds” by leveraging chatbots, machine learning techniques and financial market dynamics to enable everyone (not just a connected few) to be meaningfully employed.

Responsibilities

Internship Rotation Program | Strategy & Operations - Sales & Business Development - Community Growth

Details about the rotation:

  • There are 3 verticals within this rotation program

  • You will spend 80% of your time focussed in your current vertical and 20% simultaneously tunneling into the next

  • Each rotation lasts 2 months (fast paced 8 weeks x 3 rotations)

  • If you excel in a vertical; you can make a case to extend for another term or indefinitely

  • You will be coached while given room to lead, make mistakes and express yourself

 

Strategy & Operations

  • This vertical faces the marketplace and deals with the convergence of both sides

  • The goal of this vertical is to leverage strategic thinking and data to optimize Steve

  • 80% of your time:

    • Data Analysis & Modelling

    • Go To Market Research / Ideation / Metrics / Scenarios

    • Portfolio Matrixes and other strategic problem solving tools

    • Project planning

  • 20% (or more) of your time:

    • Implementation in Community Growth

    • Implementation in Business Development

 

The other 2 verticals:

Sales, BD & Account Development

  • This vertical faces the employer side of the marketplace

  • The goal of this vertical is to expand Steve’s footprint while providing a truly unparalleled client and solution experience

  • 80% of your time:

    • Account management

    • Funnels, activities

    • Pitches, Demos, Meetings

 

  • 20% of your time:

    • Community Growth or Marketplace

 

Community Growth

  • This vertical primarily faces the job seeker side of the marketplace

  • Your ultimate goal is to grow a community of job seekers and make them successful!

  • 80% of your time:

    • Innovative growth hacks to introduce new job seekers to Steve

    • Social media, graphics, digital marketing, metrics based activities

    • Coaching job seekers around cv’s, interview success, job skills etc

    • 20% of your time:

      • Ensuring marketplace is synced Account Management
