Customer Success Executive

Catersmith - Forging Team Experiences Through Food 

Catersmith is a company that helps businesses feed their team through catered food experiences. We work with well-known restaurants like Maki-San, Nara Thai and Seoul Yummy to bring great food to the catering line. Working with these restaurant partners helps us provide a wider variety of higher quality food to our corporate customers, while Catersmith focuses on maintaining reliable delivery and set-up.

We are looking to hire people who are self-initiated, driven and are eager to learn through hands-on experiences. Interest in the food & logistics business is a plus!

Responsibilities

Catersmith serves many corporate customers like Airbnb, Carousell, Cisco and General Electric on a subscripion or ad hoc ordering basis. The Customer Success Manager will be the account lead for a portfolio of these corporate customers. 

 

The main goals of the Customer Success Manager are:

  1. To help your portfolio of corporate customers maintain team morale and bonding through food
  2. To manage the nutritional needs for the customer's team
  3. To upsell new menus and food activities to the customer

 

The job scope of the Customer Success Manager includes:


1) Catering Customer Service Support

  • Answering corporate customer's query phone calls and emails
  • Taking orders via phone and emails + upselling and recommendations
  • Generating online invoices on the website system

2) Customer Relationship Management

  • Maintain close corporate customer relationships by engaging them over the phone, meeting up, email and texting if necessary
  • Communicating closely to understand the customer's teams' dietary requirements and food preferences

3) Meal Planning

  • Plan for meals at least 2 weeks ahead for corporate customers on subscription
  • Handle invoicing on website system for each order confirmed
  • Chase for payments close to due date, or overdue payments

4) Service Recovery

  • Troubleshoot when customers report problems
  • Manage customers expectations when problems arise, then appease them through service recovery
  • Follow-up with customer to ensure retention

5) Liaison with Restaurant Partners

  • Liaise with Catersmith's restaurant partners (Nara Thai, Wrap & Roll, Lean Bento, Maki-San etc) to come up with great menu options within customer's budget


Work Environment

  • Catersmith's office and warehouse is located near Pioneer MRT station, accessible via 2 buses from Boon Lay Interchange
  • Our office is equipped with a gym and swimming pool. We have a strong emphasis on healthy living and encourage our staff to make use of the facilities during lunch break and after work.
  • Working hours are from 9am - 6pm, or 10am - 7pm if you prefer. Occassionally, there are large events that may require HQ's support, especially during peak seasons. This happens around 1 - 2 times per 2 months or so.
  • Our pantry is a little tiny, but is restocked every 2 weeks with (sinful) goodies and snacks from Redmart.


Final note

  • The Catersmith team is small, young and close-knit. Our pace of work is very fast and company growth is fast. If you enjoy working in a small team and seeing the fruits of your contributions very quickly, this is the job for you.

Requirements

We are looking for a youthful and bubbly person who is very personable and excellent at communicating with people. If you want to apply for this job, you must love people

You will be interacting and speaking to customers and restaurant partners on a daily basis. If you don't like to interact with or manage people, this is not the job for you.

This is also a fast-paced job, where things happen quickly. We need someone who can react fast and act decisively

 

Experience (optional)

  • Experience working in sales, customer service or customer success teams in other start-ups
    OR
  • Organised many community events in free time, or large scale events in school


Compulsory Requirements

  • MUST be Singaporean / PR
  • MUST speak English fluently and write without grammatical errors to handle sales
  • Would be good if you are conversational in Mandarin, but this is optional
  • Basic mastery of Microsoft Word & Excel
