We’re looking for an experienced ecommerce expert to join our Asia team. You’ll work cross-functionally with others in the marketing and operational teams to ensure the smooth operation of our clients’ international sites, and its supporting merchandising  and marketing campaigns.  You will be responsible for clients’ GMV, conversion improvement, and shopper NPS.  This position will be located in Hong Kong.

 As an Online Merchandising Manager for the Asia Pacific Region, you will 

  • Manage a portfolio of client sites, overseeing localised website management and development of the ecommerce and strategic product roadmap.
  • Guide clients from initial onboarding process, establishing best practices for future client implementations. Lead execution and deployment of site assets and localised content
  • Drive growth and conversion by identifying customer experience improvements for client sites, including digital marketing, merchandising and promotional activities, site optimizations, operational  and enhancement features.  
  • Develop web marketing initiatives including email marketing (EDM), affiliates and SEM/SEO
  • Build expert knowledge in client customer insights, analytics, retail benchmarking, consumer trends and marketing best practices in the Asia regions.
  • Develop site multi variant test plans and run experiments with client support
  • Monitor client customer experience, identifying issues or impediments to purchase path and manage through resolution. Analyze checkout flow with attention to cart abandonment.
  • Build reports for use across teams and client presentations that outline in-country, end consumer behavior and site performance.
  • Ensure that client sites are operating to specifications and meet brand and local market guidelines 
  • Be fluent in English and Japanese.  Additional fluency in Chinese or Korean a strong plus

Requirements

This might be a perfect fit for you if 

  • You have 3-5 years of experience in ecommerce, mobile and online analytics with a retailer, agency or analytical/strategic consultancy. International eCommerce experience preferred
  • Expert understanding of online shoppers and their behavior in Japan, China, Korea and/ or SE Asia
  • Expert understanding of ecommerce business objectives and key performance metrics
  • Proven expertise with web and mobile analytics platforms.  Google Analytics, SQL,  Omniture, Mixpanel experience a plus
  • Strong knowledge of multi variant testing, including methodology and tools such as Monetate, Optimizely, or Maxymizer
  • Experience with Demandware, Shopify, Magento or other ecommerce platforms a plus.
  • Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables, v-lookups, macros; Large data sets experience
  • Strong project management skills
  • You have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
