Responsibilities

Summary of Position

The applicant is responsible for providing pre-sales support to the sales team and customers, gathering information, conceptualizing, designing and validating technology or architecture to ensure solutions delivered are technically sound and conform to leading edge industry standards.  The applicant is required to do pre-sales presentations and demonstrations, perform RFP analysis and proposal creation and technical documentation at levels from low-level design information to operational Tech-notes and to lead through life cycle delivery. The applicant is also responsible to develop new product offerings based on the ever-changing market trends.

Responsibility 

·         Lead one or more architecture development assignments across several clients, working closely with the clients and personnel to manage the deliverable schedule accordingly.

·         Ensure that the aspects of the architecture are driven by the business imperatives/client requirements of the organization and that the requirements driving the overall architecture are managed consistently and effectively.

·         Serve as a subject matter expert for architectural frameworks, methods and tools.

·         Function as a front-line technical resource for "best practice" and informal customer questions

·         Pre-sale consulting providing technical product knowledge.

·         Builds relationships with key technical contacts in assigned accounts. Communicated with customers to resolve all technical product issues and product needs, identifies sales opportunities and partners with field colleagues to support revenue growth and divisional goals. 

·         Tracks and reports technology developments to assist sales and account management in identifying and building sales strategies. Monitors competitive technology developments and reports to management. 

·         Builds product awareness with existing customers including future product/technology presentations. 

·         Assists with technical and product training for the field sales and account management staff.

·         Access requirements and present System Engineering based recommendations that are in line with the strategic vision for the enterprise and wider best practice.

·         Build new product offerings, in line with the growing market demands.

 

Requirements

·         Strong business analysis skills and experience, including the development of business vision and strategies, functional decomposition, requirements capture, process modelling.

·         Comfortable leading a team of professionals within the business, application/systems, data/information and technical architecture disciplines. Must have excellent communication skills to be able to clearly explain the benefits of an architectural approach to clients and stakeholders.

·         Experience in tender bidding with at least 2 years of relevant experience in providing business value solutions and presales support in application and system integration for customers, including proposal writing, presentation, conducting Proof-of-Concept to showcase its technical feasibility when necessary

·         Ability to propose the technical solution and oversee the selection of technologies and estimate resources required to develop the proposed solution to meet customer’s requirements

·         Sound knowledge of current technologies, tools and industry trends, i.e. cloud computing, virtualization, etc

·         Analytical, strong verbal and written communication skills

·         Able to multi-task, and work under tight deadlines

·          Possess ANY of the following technical certification will be advantageous:

o    Microsoft Certification like MCITP – Enterprise Administrator, MCSE – Private Cloud, etc

o    Virtualization Certification like VMware VCP, Citrix Xen CCA, etc

o    Enterprise Backup Certification like NetBackup, Commvault, Avamar, etc

o    Enterprise Storage Certification like IBM DS, EMC VNX, Hitachi HUS, etc  

o    Networking certification like CCNA, CCNP, CCIE etc

o    Cloud related certification like Azure

Essential

·         At least 5 years’ experience of proven success in technology related work, including designing, developing, selling and delivering complex business and technology services/solutions.

·         Ability to uncover business challenges and develop a custom solution to solve those challenges

·         Demonstrated ability to provide competitive technical intelligence and competitive positioning as the technical “Subject Matter Expert".

·         Self-motivated with an ability to achieve 100% Customer Satisfaction.
