Responsibilities

We are looking for a Human Resource Generalist to assist the Head of Operations in running day-to-day HR and Office-related operations at our Kuala Lumpur office, a quick walk from Mid Valley Megamall.

You will work closely and report to the Head of Operations to drive People and Culture forward. Our Human Resource Generalist will wear multiple hats and will play a critical role in championing company culture and supporting the team's administrative needs.

Some of the things you will assist the Head of Operations in:

  • Be a champion in our company culture, and constantly be on the lookout for the new and exciting ways to strengthen the culture
  • Oversee and carry-out elements across the employment lifecycle, from onboarding, retention to offboarding
  • Assist talent acquisition strategy from candidate sourcing, managing inflow of applications and candidate screening
  • Assist in administering and monitoring of compensation programme, performance reviews and goal setting processes
  • Assist in the development and implementation of employee policies and procedures
  • Manage MSC-related matters and foreign work visa processing
  • Maintenance of employee records
  • Plan, manage and coordinate company happiness events: birthdays, anniversaries, recognition and celebrations, team bonding activities and team offsites
  • Keep the company well-fed by stocking our pantry with delicious and healthy variety or snacks and beverages
  • Anticipate office needs and being proactive about fulfilling them
  • Serve as primary liaison with office service providers (ie: cleaning, internet, electricity) to ensure the office environment is a conducive environment for productivity

Requirements

What you'll need:

  • At least a diploma or university degree in Psychology, HR, Business Administration or any other related fields
  • Uncompromising but flexible
  • Energised by building relationships with people
  • A self-starter who requires little supervision and proactive in seeking out knowledge gaps
  • Thrives on being the "go to" person about HR and office needs
  • Passionate about making the office environment and space a key driver in strengthening company culture and team efficiency
  • Highly organised and have superior time management skills
  • Strong attention to detail - accurate data gathering, problem solver, ability to manage logistical and tactical details
  • Strong sense of ownership in your tasks, problems and decisions made 
  • Demonstrates ability to work collaboratively across departments
  • Exceptional communication skills. You know precisely what to say, how to say it, both online and in-person.
  • Must be able to speak, read and write well in English and speak and read in Malay. Mandarin is a bonus.
  • Likes working in a fast-paced, startup environment

Salary

2500 - 4500 MYR
