Business Community Manager SME (Trade and distribution)

Responsibilities

POSITION SUMMARY

This position is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships between trade and distribution SMEs (T&D SME) and LendingStar and marketing to them our services.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Develop and maintain the relationships between company and trade and distribution SMEs Task Listing
    • Solicits invoice financing and supply chain financing business through contacts with T&D SMEs directly, industry associations and other T&D communities
    • Meets with T&D SMEs to discuss their financing needs and/or their supply chain or trade partners needs
    • Coordinates with Business finance managers within assigned region to manage existing and potential T&D SMEs business financing relationships.
  • Provides service to customers and prospective customers seeking trade or supply chain financing Task Listing
    • Meet with individuals to discuss their T&D financing needs
    • Negotiate terms and conditions of financing with businesses
    • Advise customers on existing financing arrangements
    • Analyze credit and financial information of businesses and individuals, offering LendingStar’s products accordingly
    • Cross-sells a full range of company’s services to existing and potential customers
    • Provide customer services on assigned accounts, opens new accounts, respond to client requests.
  • Monitor and manages a project portfolio, including maintaining satisfactory portfolio quality Task Listing
    • Continually monitor and satisfactorily maintain the quality and growth of the project portfolio.
    • Obtain and analyze pertinent financial and credit data to determine whether project will be an acceptable risk
    • Recommend or reject projects, referring positive recommendations through the project approval process
    • Ensures the preparation and processing of forms and legal documents required for closing T&D SMEs projects.
    • Follows current projects to ensure conformity with terms.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS/COMPETENCIES

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Educational Requirements:

High School Diploma or equivalent; College degrees in the related field, such as Finance or Business Administration highly preferred.

Experience Requirements:

Business community manager SME (T&D) I (banking, investment, telecom, distribution, IT experience) - Generally on a learning curve; usually works with limited authority and specialization; 1 – 3 years experience in finance service, and usually responsible for more routine accounts.

Business community manager SME (T&D) II - Handles more important types of financing products; 3 – 4 years finance service experience; works with moderate authority and specialization.

Business community manager SME (T&D) III - Handles all but the most complex accounts; at least 5 years experience in finance service; assists and guides less-experienced employees in the complex phases of property appraisal and extension of financing for interim T&D SME projects; updates and trains company personnel on SME (T&D) products knowledge.
