Description:

We are seeking a Full-Stack Support Engineer to join the Production Support Engineering team to help support the full suite of enterprise-class web applications and third-party integrations that power the core Circles.Life experience. The candidate ideally would have experience working in structured environments following defined development and support methodologies and be able to propose new ones as necessary.

If the answer is YES, read on to find out more about the role at Circles.Life! Leveraging a thorough knowledge of front-end, middle-tier and backend technologies, the candidate will work in a collaborative environment to troubleshoot/debug issues, implement solutions and deploy to production by following (and establishing) best practices.

Leveraging knowledge of front-end, middle-tier and backend technologies, the candidate will work in a collaborative environment to troubleshoot/debug issues, implement solutions and deploy to production by following (and establishing) best practices.

Our current tech stack includes: Ruby on Rails, React, Node.js, HTML/CSS, Bootstrap, JQuery, MariaDB, MongoDB, Redis, AWS, Linux, Git and Docker

  • Manage the existing application stack supporting our public facing websites and internal systems.
  • Debug the hardest of problems and design robust solutions to prevent them from happening in the future.
  • Propose and implement solutions to proactively reduce/prevent downtime, system outages, and security vulnerabilities.
  • Provide best practices and share knowledge with the rest of the organization.
  • Contribute to documentation and operational plans.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Good to have professional web application development experience.
  • Good to have Node.js / Ruby on Rails experience.
  • Knowledge of Web Application Architecture/Technical Design (web service design, OOP class design, performance/bottleneck analysis, etc).
  • Familiarity with SQL/NoSQL databases such as MariaDB, MongoDB, Redis, etc.
  • Knowledge and understanding of AWS, Docker, Git etc.
