Community Manager- for PADANG & CO

Who we are 

Padang & Co (padang.sg) is the Open Innovation company.  We bring together talented members of our diverse community and organisations from the public, private and people sectors to collaborate on ideas and co-create new solutions.  In the past four years, we have organised over 40 Open Innovation initiatives, such as hackathons and competitions.

Responsibilities

The Community Manager connects with passionate citizens, and professional and community leaders, to support our Open Innovation initiatives.  You are instrumental to building and facilitating our UP Singapore (upsingapore.com) civic innovation community of developers, designers, entrepreneurs, data enthusiasts, researchers, policymakers, marketers, etc.

Your key responsibilities

  • Connect with multiple professional communities and special interest groups via LinkedIn, Meetup, Facebook, Twitter and other social media, as well as email campaigns;
  • Engage with other relevant existing communities and databases to draw more people into the UP Singapore community;
  • Create and curate relevant content and messaging;
  • Ensure content consistency across all our communications and social media networks;
  • Create and execute creative new social media campaigns in support of our activities;
  • Act as UP Singapore ‘ambassador’ at external events;
  • Respond promptly to user or community feedback; and
  • Monitor site usage and engagement levels on an on-going basis, and prepare reports for analysis and strategic planning.

Requirements

Attributes we require of you

 The basics:

A proven track record in designing and executing social media, marketing and / or advertising campaigns – this means you are likely to have at least two or three years of solid work experience

  • Excellent English creative writing, grammar and proofreading skills;
  • Outgoing personality and enjoy meeting new people
  • Proven networking skills and experience
  • Ability to quickly acquire a firm grasp of our Open Innovation ethos and expertly communicate them across our communications channels and social media networks; and
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint (or their Mac equivalents)

And what’s advantageous:

  • Knowledge of the start-up / entrepreneur / innovation, developer / tech, design and / or other communities in Singapore; and
  • Knowledge of MailChimp, WordPress and / or Adobe Creative Suite (basic skills in Photoshop, Illustrator and / or InDesign)
