Who we are:

Banyan Tree Gallery is a 20-year-old community retailer working globally with artisan craft and the retail arm of Banyan Tree Hotels & Resorts. Consisting of a multitude of consignment brands and two social brands MATTER Prints and Banyan Tree Essentials. 

MATTER is a socially motivated business that reinterprets textile heritage into prints that tell stories of where and why they are made. Creating garments and accessories that accompany you from day to night, always with the ethos of comfort and versatility in mind. 

Our mission is to impact change beyond textiles by making rural artisan production sustainable, shifting designers’ approach to their processes, and inspiring customers to value provenance. We believe in products with story and soul, and it is with this philosophy that we uncover heritage prints from the archives of our artisan communities with simple yet compelling stories. 

Banyan Tree Essentials draws inspiration from Banyan Tree’s journey in building retreats of rest and rejuvenation, championing the ethos of embracing the environment and empowering the community. Committed to inspire a lifestyle interwoven with wellness, our bath & body and aromatherapy collections are specially created to extend the experience of comfort and stillness into one’s daily life.

Who should apply:

We look for people who are passionate, humble, and purposeful. 2 years work experience is desired but great attitude wins over experience any day. Apply if you like lateral learning, a flexible work environment, and want to work beyond a single scope. A small team requires us all to be involved in everything, and we’re looking for someone who can and wants to actively contribute to the direction of this company.


You should be a detail-oriented individual who can work with fuzzy objectives, multiple moving parts, and a variety of stakeholders. 


-       Meticulous note taking, updating project board, sending out concise memos and meeting agenda 

-       Compile and structure brand presentations for review and follow up

-       Research, analysis and summarize in-house/competitor brands, issues, or relevant topics 

-       Plan, organize, and follow through on projects regarding workflow optimization, achieving sustainability goals, and overall brand operations

-       Manage issues and risk, monitor if and when project resource or timeline deviates from plan 

-       Schedule meetings and appointments, act as a point of contact for the brand manager 


You should be able to see the broad picture, work with little guidance, and ensure project completion. Passion over experience, any day. 


-       2 years’ job experience working fulltime in an entrepreneurial environment 

-       Passionate about the brand, sustainability, optimizing workflows, and making things better because they can

-       Good knowledge and techniques for planning, monitoring, and controlling programs and project
