Product Development Executive

Ant is a Kuala Lumpur based biotech startup in the agriculture space. Ant is in the business of farming crickets as a highly nutritious and sustainable food source for livestock, pets and people. Did you know that cricket contains up to 3x more protein than beef, more iron than spinach and more calcium than milk? Crickets are up to 20x more efficient to produce compared to beef. Responsibilities

  • Conduct independent research and fully understand appreciate the company’s product. offerings and the industry in its entirety.
  • Design develop and market product.
  • Develop and plan sales and marketing strategies.
  • Meet with KPIs and deadlines set out by Management.
  • Recommends the nature and scope of present and future product lines.
  • Assesses market competition.
  • Provides information for management by preparing short-term and long-term product sales forecasts and special reports and analysis; answering questions and requests.
  • Brings new products to market by analysing proposed product requirements and product development programs; preparing return-on-investment analyses; establishing time schedules with engineering and manufacturing.
  • Introduces and markets new products by developing time-integrated plans with sales, advertising, and production.
  • Determines product pricing by utilizing market research data; reviewing production and sales costs; anticipating volume; costing special and customized orders.
  • Completes operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results.
  • Maintains product management staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.
  • Maintains product management staff job results by counselling and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing other tasks as needed.

Requirements

1.    Candidate must possess at least Degree in Business Management, Marketing, Management or equivalent.

2.    At least 3 years working experience in the related field.

3.    Skills required: Product Management, People Management, Understanding the Customer, Product Development, Requirements Analysis, Pricing, Planning, Competitive Analysis, Sales Planning, Inventory Control, Financial Planning and Strategy

4.    Must be willing to travel and work under pressure
