Accounts Executive

Lynx's mission is to solve real, complex problems with the power of big data graph analytics.

It all started in 2010, when a group of professors and students from INSEAD decided to form a product company to solve complex business problems with big data graphs.

To address the lack of available technologies to analyze data graphs at the scale we needed, we built our own platform solution and become a product company.

We convinced early adopters in the Telecommunications and Financial Services industries, where clients needed a radical solution to solve the constant challenge of finding, retaining, and upselling to their customers. Our superior product, ideas, and brainpower helped us achieve profitable, organic growth ever since the start of the company.

Responsibilities

This role, reporting to the Finance Manager, is an integral part of the Finance function responsible for maintaining an efficient, timely and accurate financial and management reporting. 
 
The role will be responsible for full set of accounts i.e. bookkeeping, accounting and financial support duties which include preparation of accounting entries, bank statement reconciliations, payroll preparation, invoice and expense report checking and executing payments. 

Handling full set of accounts 

• Preparing all accounting / journal entries for Singapore entities (e.g. sub-ledgers Payroll, Bank, AP, AR, GL and mass uploading/ interfacing transactions from expense tracking system (Expensify), travel management system, etc.) • Keeping payroll records, preparing salary calculations and payments on a monthly basis

 • Allocating costs to projects in accordance with company practices

• Preparing and filing quarterly GST reports • Reconciling bank statements at least on a weekly basis 

• Keeping evidence of supplier invoices, checking and gaining authorisation for supplier payments 

• Preparing client invoices based on existing company contracts and manager guidance

• Filing of accounting records & supporting documents

• Checking employee expense claims (using Expensify) to ensure compliance with company policies

• Preparing payments through online banking platforms • Supporting preparation of financial accounts and Annual Tax Returns for Singapore entities and Group 

• Providing support during preparation for year-end audit, liaising with auditors when needed

• Other ad-hoc accounting, finance and reporting support activities 

Requirements

Diploma/ Degree in Accountancy or Finance 

• A relevant accounting background with at least 3 years working experience

• Excellent attention to detail • Sound analytical skills, advanced Excel user

• General understanding of accounting software; experience working with Xero preferred

• Good interpersonal skills, positive & enthusiastic approach, team player

• Comfortable with being very hands-on, meeting deadlines and operating with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment 

• Sound judgment and independent thinking, with good time management skills and an ability to provide structure in an unstructured environment

• Good oral and written communication skills

• Ability to proactively deal with senior management

• High level of integrity
