Code Club Volunteers

About Code Club:

Code Club is a network of free volunteer-led after-school coding clubs across Hong Kong for children aged 9-11. It is our core belief that every child should have the chance to learn to code no matter what their financial situation. We create projects for our volunteers to teach at after school coding clubs or at non-school venues such as libraries. The projects we make teach children how to program by showing them how to make computer games, animations and websites. Our volunteers go to their local club for an hour a week and teach one project a week.

Who we’re looking for:

Volunteers to give up an hour a week to help children learn to code (novice programmers welcome), linguists to help us translate projects between English and Cantonese, and parents to help connect us with schools. We’ve had some pretty big names apply so far including: Sir Tim Berners-Lee, Chad Hurley and even HRH The Duke of York – http://youtu.be/FxhGIajRsq4

Location:

100's of primary schools across Hong Kong.
