We are looking for a self-driven Digital Marketing Manager enhance our business capabilities offered to our portfolio companies. The Digital Marketing Manager must be accountable to the business targets they have set for the specific company, and be responsible for all aspects of marketing operations for the specific portfolio company. Your central goal is to help grow our portfolio company influence locally and regionally while also increasing their brand loyalty and awareness.
Your duties will include planning, implementing, and monitoring our digital marketing campaigns across all digital networks. Our ideal candidate is someone with experience in sales and marketing, whom has a P&L or key account holder responsibility (i.e. from working at an agency), implementing non-advertising strategies such as referral marketing, upselling, writing with an angle in mind, remarketing or abandoned cart marketing, strategic SEO, email marketing and automation, targeting groups and forums, urgency creation etc., on the portfolio company’s digital assets including website and social media accounts, and campaign building art direction, and social media management. In addition to being an outstanding communicator, you will also demonstrate excellent interpersonal and analytical skills.
In order to provide portfolio companies with a low-risk operational environment, a successful Digital Marketing Manager must meet and exceed business related metrics set by the marketing manager himself/herself.
The Digital Marketing Manager managing partner has two hats: working as a digital marketer to plan and execute campaigns and reporting metrics, and as a business manager, being responsible for and accountable to the metrics that the Marketing Manger sets and executes on. The managing partner usually reports to an executive committee of the portfolio company, similar to a board of directors for a corporation.
Some of the major areas of responsibility for a Digital Marketing Manager include:
- Design and oversee all aspects of digital marketing department including marketing database, email, and display advertising campaigns;
- Design, Develop, Monitor and be Accountable for campaign performances and budgets;
- Plan and manage social media platforms;
- Prepare accurate reports on marketing campaign’s overall performance and address areas of improvement or recovery;
- Coordinate with content writers, front and backend developers, designers and graphics specialists to improve marketing results;
- Identify the latest trends and technologies affecting the industry of the portfolio company;
- Evaluate important metrics that affect website traffic, service quotas, and target audience;
- Work with the executive team to brainstorm new and innovative growth strategies;
- Oversee and manage all contests, giveaways, and other digital projects;
- Be proactive at implementing strategies and campaigns that gives the portfolio companies what they have been told they will get, without being insistent on inorganic or paid strategies like advertising.
