OVERVIEW
[ Calling out to ALL FRESH GRADUATES looking for a career in the financial industry ] QN: How Would You Like To Be Personally Mentored By One Of Singapore's Youngest Most Successful Financial Associate... Replicate That Same Kind Of Success And Accelerate Your Career Growth (Plus Surpass Your Peers Within 2-3 Years)... EVEN If You Have Little Or No Experience? === Hello there, My name is Joshua Lim. You may know me as the youngest Senior Vice President or Senior Financial Services Manager of Fort Financial Management Pte Ltd representing AXA or have seen me on The Straits Times published in April 2015 & March 2016. I will go straight to the point. My team & I have successfully cleared our 2015's target by a mile. BUT we are aiming for greater heights & we like to open up a couple of slots to search for potential candidates to join our team as we want to kick-start 2016 to work towards bigger goals. Here's YOUR opportunity. I'm looking for: - 2 x Wealth Associates (Investments & Risk Managements) - 1 x Business Development Associates Now... I understand that some of you graduates out there are searching for "THAT JOB" that pays you what you feel is justifiable for the 15-18 years and thousands of money you've spent on your education.. I know because I've been in your shoes before - slogging the long hours just to scrape through the exams... burning midnight oils for projects that I couldn't care less about... and even working doubly hard for modules that I've failed previously. And honestly, I was expecting a good $3-4K upon graduation. But let me tell you this: It's NOT going to happen. Look, the employers probably have interviewed lots of equally highly qualified candidates before you, and they know for a fact that millennials won't stay long at their jobs (let's be honest, everyone is just eager to build up quick experiences and job hop to the next for a better pay)... so why would any manager or boss want to invest their time, heart and soul into mentoring you, if you're just going to be yet "another executive" to temporarily fill up the position till the next one comes to take over when you leave (let alone even consider giving you a pay raise or bonus)? So you'll probably end up with a starting pay of $2.2K (maybe $2.8 if you're lucky), slog longer hours at the "reputable company" just to get 1-2 years experience, and then maybe job hop to another with a "better resume" for a slightly higher pay of $200+/- more. But the truth is that you'll just be going in spirals and "get stuck" financially and career wise in the same spot when you look back every year. (Most of my friends are experiencing this. And I'm sure your seniors probably are too.) Which is also exactly the reason why countless graduates can't progress fast enough in their career to start earning the kind of money they desire to live the lifestyle they want. Listen... if that's what you truly want - to accelerate your career growth and get the kind of wealth that your peers can only dream of (and I'm talking about achieving all these within the next 2-3 years)... and if you have the hunger to grow and become one of the top in the finance industry... Then you definitely don't want to miss out on this opportunity to get explosive growth for your career and wealth when you join my team. Here's what you can expect: -Become part of the top leading unit, working with people that are hungry for success & driven by growth. These will be the people who you grind with day in day out, to achieve tip top results. -I strongly believe in investing in my team... That means you obviously. I want you to grow to your fullest potential and be successful. I believe in empowering people to allow them to be the best they can be. I will invest time to personally mentor & support my team, to enable them to achieve what they desire to achieve. -Enjoy lucrative growth path once you are grounded in the foundations and become good in what you do & prove yourself worthy. Whether is it to be a manager within 1-2 years or run your own team, the path will naturally open up for you. In fact, I can GUARANTEE that you will become one of the rising stars in our industry. I've mentored and coached many people. Those who put in effort & commitment and followed the path have ALL became someone worthy of respect. (Of course those who didn't, didn't.) ---- Now let me share with you what happened with my associates so far.. Earlier this year, I opened up a couple of associates positions that was quickly filled up. My associate Terence Ng, joined me beginning of this year. He started with zero experience and little financial knowledge - but grew by leaps and bounds under my mentorship... within just a short 3 months. Not only did he speed up his career progression, he even surpassed his peers who previously was ahead of him: "In just 3 months into joining Josh's team, I was earning a stable $6,000+ each month, to comfortably pay for my school fees and to repay my parents. Even my peers who graduated from university the same time as me wasn't earning as much. Plus, I didn't have much experience nor knowledge, but Joshua's coaching has propelled me forward tremendously not just career wise but also my personal growth - I've gained life skills and matured so much as an individual that my peers couldn't believe how much I've changed for the better. Honestly, having achieved all this at age 23, I'll consider myself to be successful. But finding passion and enjoying my work is most important to me. I've often heard of how my friends hate their jobs or are waiting for their chance to quit for a better opportunity... but in Josh's team, you'll never find that kind of sentiments in Josh's team, simply because everyone are striving towards the same goal with the same kind of drive and spirit that pushes one another in achieving results that almost defy our own beliefs. And today, I am happy to be have made my mentor Joshua proud as one of the youngest Agency Development Manager in Fort Financial representing AXA." Terence Ng Jin Yew, 23 Nanyang Technological University ---- Another of my associate, Kiat Hwee, is also fast rising leader within the team. In just a short 2 months, he has grown incredibly in his financial knowledge and is recognized as a financial guru and expert among his peers. He is constantly stepping out of his comfort zone and taking up many challenges, and has achieved his success as an Agency Development Manager in just less than a year. The rest who joined us are also progressing well, polishing & honing their techniques extensively... Pushing themselves day by day not just in theory and head-knowledge, but applying it in life to grow and mature as an individual, while generating top-notch results that far surpass what their peers can achieve. Another associate of mine Melody who learned not only soft skills from me has developed into a cold market specialist. Equipping her with the right knowledge & situational handling techniques. Melody is able to access her client's financial situation accurately & efficiently allowing her to make the necessary decisions she need to advise her clients. Despite her young age, clients much older than her trust her with their confidential information & takes her advise to SERIOUSLY. Right now as of THIS MOMENT she is 1 of the youngest top rookie in our industry, in time to come leading a team of her own. Great things are installed for her. "I've been a piano teacher over the past 6 years as i have a DipABRSM and graduated from School of the Arts. As most would think, teaching can be an extremely stable, sustainable, lifetime job. Most people wouldn't understand how I feel unless they experience how stagnant it actually is. Sitting back in the same old chair in my living room, seeing the same faces, repeating the same things. It might have been fun as a hobby, but not as a lifelong career. As the only child, i was also well aware that i would have to one day be responsible for taking care of my parents through their retirement on my own. With that in mind, i decided to take that leap of faith. The one thing that drew me to this career, is the fact that i can get rewarded for every bit of sincere hard work put in for every person i meet. Joshua always tells me, so what if I'm the youngest in the entire industry, if people can do it, why can't i? Every single day when i go to work, i ask myself this question over as a constant reminder and always keep the momentum going. Having met Joshua and his team has taught me the fact that nothing is unattainable as long as you put in your 100% effort and soul into it, and they were right about every bit of that. The determination, the right skill sets, having the opportunity to meet people from all walks of life is not something that just any ordinary career can offer. Never have i once turned back to question my decision joining Joshua. I am also well aware that being able to earn triple of an average fresh graduate is close to impossible for a 22 year old. All i could say is that the impossible has been made possible. Thank you Joshua, for making me the person i am today. He taught me many invaluable techniques that you won't be able to learn from those so-called experts." Melody Tan, 22 Agency Development Manager ____ You see, achieving success is not that difficult. Because all you need to have is: Being passionate about what you do + having the attitude to learn + the right skills + the right mentor and guidance + a supportive work environment + working with the right team. BUT, Let me be very VERY VERY upfront & transparent here! This is not for everyone. People come in having the mentality "try it out". NO! This isn't what I'm seeking for. This is the team that battled day in & day out along side me. Through those tough time we persevere.... The intensive planning we had, to make things happen.... Strategies that we brainstormed to execute.... Researching on concepts that took weeks.... Exhausting training we all had together.... High targets that was bestowed upon us to achieve.... Clients that gave us hellish issues.... Ending work at hours others cannot fathom.... Deadline that always felt like the end of the world.... The stress that "NO ONE WILL EVER UNDERSTAND" Let me re-emphasis, I'm looking for very specific types of people who have the hunger to learn & grow, committed to do what they do best & working with us for a long term. Do not pull us down, do not be a burden to the team. Everyone here worked really hard to get where they are today. You NEED TO HAVE: -Good working attitude & good learning attitude. Being open to changes & having the courage to step out of your comfort zone. (This is something I value alot, more than skills or knowledge) -Be ambitious. I'm looking for people who wants to be one of the top in their game. Not just "exister". Not just "survivor". I'm looking for "thrivers"... "excellers". I took the pains to build a team of high-level performers and we love working with people who share the same vision and drive. If you're just looking to coast or just get by, you won't survive with us. We are striving towards something BIG and we have no time to spent on laggers or dead weights. Most take decades, even generations to achieve the goal we have in mind. So we need top players, not "bench warmers". -Be results oriented. It's all about working towards the END GAME (I'll share our vision once you are in). I hate hearing excuses, don't procrastinate. 1 more thing, I hate drama within the team. It's all about working together cohesively and positively. Together we will achieve massive results. I guarantee it. We are bounded together to take the fight outside the office, not within the team. -We work hard. We play hard. But most of all, we work together as a team. To me, my work and my team are my life and my family. -Be interested in long-term (2 - 5 years) working arrangement. We'll teach you everything we know and not hold back. So we are looking for people who are interested to work with us for long-term, be part of the team and work towards our big goal. I'll be very upfront with you: You need to work hard. You need to put in a lot of effort. You probably need to sacrifice in the beginning as we invest in you and train you and get you up to speed and your skills up to our standards. People only look at successful people with envy. The truth is, its all an illusion. Behind that successful person are massive amount of hard-work that made that person what he is today. BUT my promise to you is this, It won't take you decades to be great in what you do and be successful.
