This page states the terms of use (“Terms”) under which Jobseekers and/or Employers (“You”) may use the Website, and Your relationship with Company (“www.startupjobs.asia”,”Startup Asia”, “we”, “us” or “our”). Please read them carefully as they affect Your rights and liabilities under the law.
By accessing or using this Website you agree to accept and/or to be bound by these Terms. you agree to use this Website at your own risk. If You do not agree to these Terms, please do not register for or use the Website. These Terms form a binding agreement between you and us.
You are advised to periodically review the Privacy Statement and the Terms and Conditions.
1. Jobseeker Terms of Usage
Jobseeker confirms and acknowledges that he/she discloses his/her personal data to the Employers of his/her own volition when applying for any job vacancies posted on or through the Website. By applying for any job vacancies posted on the Website or uploading his/her resume on the Website, the Jobseeker authorizes the Website to store his/her resume and personal data in the database of the Website. Upon applying for any job vacancies, a user account will be created for the Jobseeker if the Jobseeker has never registered for a user account or applied for any job on the Website. The user account will be based on the email address provided by the Jobseeker.
Jobseeker resume and personal data will remain active on the Website and be stored in the database until the Jobseeker send in a delete and remove request to the Website. Jobseeker acknowledges and agrees that his/her resume and personal data may be accessed by Employers who have subscribed to the services of the Website for the purpose of recruitment and assessing the suitability of Jobseekers. Jobseeker may login to their user account to disable searching or viewing of his/her resume and personal data by the Employers.
Jobseeker acknowledges that the Employers who have gained access to the database may have retained a copy of his/her resume, the Website is not responsible for any usage of the resume by the Employers. Jobseeker understands that all personal data, information or materials given to the Employers are given at his/her own risk.
Jobseeker shall not post any non-resume related information or data, false or inaccurate resume related information on the Website. Jobseeker shall not respond to any job vacancy advertisement for any reason other than to apply for the job advertised.
Startup Asia hereby grants you a limited, terminable, non-exclusive right to access and use Website only for your personal use seeking employment opportunities for yourself. This authorizes you to view and download a single copy of the Startup Asia Content or material on Website solely for your personal, non-commercial use.
When you register with any Startup Asia Website, you will be asked to create an account and provide .com with certain information including a valid email address.
Any Startup Asia Profile you submit must be accurate, complete, up to date and not misleading. The Startup Asia Profile requires standard fields to be completed by you. You may not impersonate another person, living or dead.
You acknowledge and agree that you are solely responsible for the form, content and accuracy of any Startup Asia Profile and resume or material contained therein placed by you on the Website.
You acknowledge and agree that you are solely responsible for any consequences arising from such posting.
We reserve the right to offer third party services and products to you based on the preferences that you identify in your registration and at any time thereafter or you have agreed to receive, such offers may be made by us or by third parties.
Please see our Privacy Policy, for further details regarding your information. Please note, as set forth in our Privacy Policy, that we may collect certain User information and may contact Users periodically in accordance with the terms of the Privacy Policy. In addition, we reserve the right to comply, in its sole discretion, with legal requirements, requests from law enforcement agencies or requests from government entities, even to the extent that such compliance may require disclosure of certain User information. In addition, third parties may retain cached copies of User information.
You understand and acknowledge that all information provided by you, your Profile, resume, and/or account information shall be disclosed to prospective Employers.
You understand and acknowledge that you have no ownership rights in your account and that if you cancel your account or your Account is terminated, all your account information from Website, including J Profile, resumes, cover letters, saved jobs, will be marked as deleted in and may be deleted from our Databases and will be removed from any public area of the Website. Information may continue to be available for some period of time because of delays in propagating such deletion through our web servers. In addition, third parties may retain saved copies of your information.
We reserve the right to delete your account and all of your information after a significant duration of inactivity.
2. Employers Terms of Usage
Employers acknowledge that they shall only use the Website for seeking potential employees. Employers agree that any personal data or information obtained from the Website shall only be used for the sole purpose of recruiting and assessing the suitability of Jobseekers, such personal data or information shall not be disclosed to any other parties without the prior consent of the Jobseeker concerned.
Employers shall disregard any information or data received from Jobseeker which is irrelevant to recruiting and assessing the suitability of Jobseekers. Employers shall be solely responsible for the contents and materials contained in it advertisement on the Website. The Company reserves the right to remove or edit any advertisement or content without any notice as it sees appropriate. The Company shall have the right to terminate or suspend the Employer’s access and use of the Website without any compensation to Employer.
Employers are required to comply with any Job Advertisements posting guideline/regulation of the country the Job vacancy is located in.
Startup Asia hereby grants you a limited, terminable, non-exclusive right to access and use Startup Asia Website for your internal business use seeking Jobseekers for employment. This authorizes you to view and download a single copy of Startup Asia Website Content or materials on Startup Asia Website solely for your use directly related to searching for and recruiting Jobseekers.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your Employer account, Company Profiles and passwords, as applicable.
You may not share your password or other account access information with any other party, temporarily or permanently, and you shall be strictly liable and/or responsible for all uses of your Startup Asia Website registrations and passwords, whether or not authorized by you.
You agree to immediately notify Startup Asia of any unauthorized use of your employer account, Company Profiles or passwords.
Employer represents, warrants and covenants that any Employer Materials provided by Employer for use in connection with Startup Asia Services will not violate any laws or regulations or third-party proprietary rights, including, without limitation, copyright, trade mark, obscenity, rights or publicity or privacy, and defamation laws.
Employers acknowledge and agree that it shall disregard any personal data received from the Jobseekers which are irrelevant to obtaining and assessing the suitability of Jobseekers.
Employers are solely responsible for the Employer Materials on Startup Asia Website. Startup Asia is not to be considered to be an employer with respect to your use of any Startup Asia Website and Startup Asia shall not be responsible for any employment decisions, for whatever reasons, made by any entity posting jobs on any Startup Asia Website.
Employer Materials may not contain:
- misleading, unreadable, or “hidden” keywords, repeated keywords or keywords that are irrelevant to the job opportunity being presented;
- names, logos or trademarks of unaffiliated companies;
- inaccurate, false, or misleading information; and
- material or links to material that is discriminatory, sexually explicit, obscene, libelous, defamatory, threatening, harassing, abusive, or hateful, or solicits personal information from anyone under 18.
- post jobs in a manner that does not comply with applicable local, national laws, including but not limited to laws relating to labor and employment, equal employment opportunity and employment eligibility requirements, data privacy, data access and use, and intellectual property;
- post any franchise, pyramid scheme, distributorship, or multi-level marketing opportunity; and
- advertise sexual services or seek employees for jobs of a sexual nature.
Startup Asia does not encourage any Employer Materials on Startup Asia Website that request Jobseekers to pay deposits, placement fees, processing fees or any other similar fees, directly or indirectly, and/or require Jobseekers to make purchases.
Startup Asia does not allow job advertisements that advertise more than 1 job position in each job posting.
Startup Asia is under no obligation to monitor the Employer Materials on Startup Asia Website, but Startup Asia may monitor the Employer Materials at random.
Startup Asia reserves the right to remove any Employer Materials or content from any Startup Asia Website, which in the reasonable exercise of Startup Asia’s discretion, does not comply with this Section, or if any content is posted that Startup Asia believes is not in the best interest of Startup Asia.
If any time during your use of the Startup Asia Services, you made a misrepresentation of fact to Startup Asia or otherwise misled Startup Asia in regards to the nature of your business activities or breach of the Terms herein, Startup Asia may terminate your use of the Startup Asia Services and in such event, any payment made by you shall be forfeited.
You understand and acknowledge that if you cancel your Employer account or your Employer account is terminated, all your account information from Startup Asia including saved Startup Asia Profiles and resumes, network contacts, and email mailing lists, will be marked as deleted in and may be deleted from Startup Asia Databases. Information may continue to be available for some period of time because of delays in propagating such deletion through Startup Asia’s web servers.
3. General Terms of Usage
The Startup Asia Services may be used by:
- Individuals seeking employment, and career and career-related information, such as education and voluntary services;
- Employers or their agents seeking Jobseekers for employment purposes.
All Users agree to not:
- Transmit, post, distribute, store or destroy material, including without limitation Startup Asia Website Content, in violation of any applicable law or regulation, including but not limited to laws or regulations governing the collection, processing, or transfer of personal information, or in breach of Startup Asia’s Privacy Policy;
- Violate or attempt to violate the security of any Startup Asia Website;
- Reverse engineer or decompile any parts of any Startup Asia Website;
- Aggregate, copy or duplicate in any matter any of the Startup Asia Content or information available from any Startup Asia Website, including expired job postings, other than as permitted by these Terms;
- Post any content or material that facilitates, promotes or endorses scams, false or misleading information or illegal activities, OR endorses or provides instructional information about illegal activities or other activities prohibited by these Terms, such as making or buying illegal weapons, violating someone’s privacy, providing or creating computer viruses or pirating media, OR promotes or endorses any political views;
- Post any profile, resume or apply for any job on behalf of another party;
- Share with a third party any login credentials to any Startup Asia Website;
- Access data not intended for you or logging into a server or account which you are not authorized to access;
- Post or submit to any Startup Asia Website any inaccurate, incomplete, misleading, false, not up to date biographical information or information which is not your own;
- Post content that contains restricted or password-only access pages, or hidden pages or images;
- Solicit passwords or personally identifiable information from other Users;
- Delete or alter any material posted by any other person or entity;
- Harass, incite harassment or advocate harassment of any group, company or individual;
- Send unsolicited mail or email, make unsolicited phone calls or send unsolicited faxes promoting and/or advertising products or services to any User, or contact any users that have specifically requested not to be contacted by you;
- Attempt to interfere with service to any User, host or network, including, without limitation, via means of submitting a virus to any Startup Asia Website, overloading, “flooding”, “spamming”, “mailbombing”, or “crashing”.
- Use the Startup Asia Services for any unlawful purpose or illegal activity, or post or submit any content, profile, resume, or job posting that is defamatory, libelous, implicitly or explicitly offensive, vulgar, obscene, threatening, harassing, abusive, hateful, racist, discriminatory, of a menacing character or likely to cause annoyance, inconvenience, embarrassment, anxiety or could cause harassment to any person or include any links to pornographic, indecent or sexually explicit material of any kind, as determined by Startup Asia’s discretion; or
- Post any profile or resume which is not a genuine profile or resume and which attempts to advertise or promote products or services.
Violations of network security may result in civil and/or criminal liability. Startup Asia will investigate occurrences which may involve such violations and may involve, and cooperate with, law enforcement authorities in prosecuting Users who are involved in such violations.
All users shall not upload, post, publish, transmit, distribute, circulate or store any material on or to the Website:
- in violation of any applicable law or regulation;
- in any manner that may infringe the copyright, trademark, trade secrets or other intellectual property rights or proprietary rights of others or violate the privacy or publicity or other personal rights of others;
- that is harmful, defamatory, libelous, obscene, discriminatory, harassing, threatening, abusive, hateful, racist, political, religious, blasphemous, false, illegal, improper or is otherwise offensive or objectionable; or
- that contains viruses, trojan horses, worms, corrupted files or other materials or programs that may interrupt, damage or limit the functionality and operation of the Website, the services offered on the Website, or of any computer software or hardware or telecommunication equipment.
4. Responsibility & Risk
The Company reserves the right to monitor the Website contents at all times but is not obliged to do so. The Company takes no responsibility whatsoever for any material on the Website that is not posted by the Company or is otherwise posted by the Company on behalf of a user. All users acknowledge and agree that they are fully responsible for the content and accuracy of information submitted by them to the Website. The Company shall not in any way be considered as agent of either Employer or Jobseeker with respect to any use of the Website. The Company does not warrant that the Website will operate error-free or the Website servers are free of Viruses or any other harmful mechanism. If use of the Website or its content result in the need for servicing or replacing equipment or data, by any user, the Company shall not be responsible for those costs and any loss or damage of whatsoever nature.
All users use the website and any other websites accessed through it, entirely at their own risk. All users shall be responsible for their own communications and are responsible for the consequences of their activities on the Website. The Company does not represent or guarantee the truthfulness, accuracy or reliability of any of the communications posted by other users or endorses any opinions expressed by users. Any reliance by users on material posted by other users shall be at their own risk. Although we aim to offer you the best service possible, we make no promise that the services at Website will meet your requirements.
The Company will not be involved in dealings or disputes between Jobseeker and Employer. The Company does not warrant or guarantee the accuracy of the information and resume provided by Jobseeker or of the recruitment advertisements provided by Employer. Should any dispute arise between Employer and Jobseeker, Employer and Jobseeker shall resolve such disputes between themselves and the Company shall not be responsible for any such disputes
Your access to the Website may be occasionally restricted to allow for repairs, maintenance or the introduction of new content, facilities or services. We will attempt to restore access and/or service as soon as we reasonably can.
5. Your use of the Website and its services
To register on the Website you must be 15 years of age or above.
You must ensure that the details provided by you on registration or at any time are correct and complete.
You must inform us immediately of any changes to the information that you provided when registering by updating your personal details in order that we can communicate with you effectively.
You shall create a password when you register to use the Website. In order to prevent fraud, you must keep this password confidential and must not disclose it or share it with anyone. If you know or suspect that someone else knows your password you should notify us by contacting us here immediately.
If Startup Asia has reason to believe that there is likely to be a breach of security or misuse of the Website, we may require you to change your password or we may suspend your account.
As a result of your loss of your Password or the misuse of the Website:
- all losses or damage incurred thereby shall be borne by you; and
- you shall fully indemnify Startup Asia should Startup Asia suffer any loss or damage.
If any information provided by the user is inaccurate, in breach of any laws or contains indecent elements, the Company may instantly terminate or suspend the user’s account without any notice and reserves the right to take such action as it considers appropriate.
The Company reserves the right to moderate, edit, disallow, remove or delete Job Advertisements or Jobseeker profile posted on the Website which, in the Company’s sole discretion, are deemed to be inappropriate or are of the following nature:
- Vulgarities (in any language or slang)
- Personal/Corporate attacks, threats, insulting, degrading or derogatory content
- Racially offensive content
- Offensive Political content
Violation of any applicable laws or regulations, Startup Asia hereby grants you a limited, terminable, non-exclusive right to access and use Startup Asia Website only for your personal use and/or employment purposes.
6. Your use of the Startup Asia Services
Our Services may be used only by:
- individuals seeking employment, and career and career-related information, such as education and voluntary services;
- Employers or their agents seeking Jobseekers for employment purposes; and
- Advertisers.
Your use of the Startup Asia Services is also subject to any other contracts you may have with Startup Asia. In the case of any conflict between these Terms and any contract you have with Startup Asia these Terms will prevail.
All Users agree to not:
- Transmit, post, distribute, store or destroy material, including without limitation Startup Asia Website Content, in violation of any applicable law or regulation, including but not limited to laws or regulations governing the collection, processing, or transfer of personal information, or in breach of Startup Asia’s Privacy Policy;
- Violate or attempt to violate the security of any Startup Asia Website;
- reverse engineer or decompile any parts of any Startup Asia Website;

- post any profile, resume or apply for any job on behalf of another party;
- share with a third party any login credentials to any Startup Asia Website;
- access data not intended for you or logging into a server or account which you are not authorized to access;
- post or submit to any Startup Asia Website any inaccurate, incomplete, misleading, false, not up to date biographical information or information which is not your own;
- post content that contains restricted or password-only access pages, or hidden pages or images;
- solicit passwords or personally identifiable information from other Users, delete or alter any material posted by any other person or entity, harass, incite harassment or advocate harassment of any group, company or individual, send unsolicited mail or email, make unsolicited phone calls or send unsolicited faxes promoting and/or advertising products or services to any User, or contact any users that have specifically requested not to be contacted by you;
- attempt to interfere with service to any User, host or network, including, without limitation, via means of submitting a virus to any Startup Asia Website, overloading, “flooding”, “spamming”, “mailbombing”, or “crashing”.
- use the Startup Asia Services for any unlawful purpose or illegal activity, or post or submit any content, profile, resume, or job posting that is defamatory, libelous, implicitly or explicitly offensive, vulgar, obscene, threatening, harassing, abusive, hateful, racist, discriminatory, of a menacing character or likely to cause annoyance, inconvenience, embarrassment, anxiety or could cause harassment to any person or include any links to pornographic, indecent or sexually explicit material of any kind, as determined by Startup Asia’s discretion; or post any profile or resume which is not a genuine profile or resume and which attempts to advertise or promote products or services.
- resell or assign your rights or obligations under these Terms. You also agree not to make any unauthorized commercial use of any Startup Asia Website.
Startup Asia will investigate occurrences which may involve such violations and may involve, and cooperate with, law enforcement authorities in prosecuting Users who are involved in such violations and violations of network security may result in civil and/or criminal liability.
7. Intellectual Property Rights & Copywrite
All text, graphics, editorial content, logos, data, formatting, graphs, designs, HTML, look and feel, photographs, music, sounds, images, software, videos, designs, typefaces and other content (collectively "Proprietary Material") that Users read on the Website is owned by the Company or are used with permission from the relevant owners. Proprietary Material is protected in all forms, media and technologies now known or hereinafter developed. The Company and such third party owners own the copyright and all other intellectual property rights to all Proprietary Material and to the coordination, selection, arrangement and enhancement of such Proprietary Materials (whether as a collective work or otherwise). The Proprietary Material is protected by the applicable domestic and international intellectual property rights laws, whether by way of copyrights, patents, or other forms of intellectual property rights. Users may not copy, download, use, redesign, reconfigure, or retransmit anything from the Site without the express prior written consent of the Company. Any use of the Proprietary Material, other than as permitted herein, is expressly prohibited.
The Company respects the intellectual property of others, and expects all Users to do the same. If you believe, in good faith, that any materials on the Website infringe upon your copyrights, please send the following information to the Company via this link.
A description of the copyrighted work that you claim has been infringed, including the URL (Internet address) or other specific location on the Site where the material you claim is infringed is located. Include enough information to allow the Company to locate the material, and explain why you think an infringement has taken place.

Hyperlinks from the Website to other sites on the internet do not constitute the endorsement by the Company of those sites or their content. Such hyperlinks are provided merely as an information service, for reference and convenience only. The Company does not control any such sites and it not responsible for their content.
These Terms will be subject to the laws of Singapore.
We will try to solve any disagreements quickly and efficiently. If you are not happy with the way we handle any disagreement and you want to take court proceedings, you must do so within Singapore.
We make no promise that materials on the Startup Asia Website are appropriate or available for use in your location, and accessing the Startup Asia Website from territories where its contents are illegal or unlawful is prohibited. If you choose to access this Startup Asia Website from your location, you do so on your own initiative and are responsible for compliance with local laws.
“Startup Asia Website” means any website under Startup Asia’s control and Startup Asia Mobile Applications.
We may update these Terms from time to time for legal or regulatory reasons or to allow the proper operation of the Website. Any changes will be notified to you via the e-mail address provided by you on registration or via a suitable announcement on this Website. The changes will apply to the use of the Website after we have given you notice. If you do not wish to accept the new Terms you should not continue to use the Website. If you continue to use the Website after the date on which the change comes into effect, your use of the Website indicates your agreement to be bound by the new Terms.
