Society Staples creates a more inclusive future and maximises opportunities for Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) through two platforms - experiences and engagement. In their experiences arm, workshops such as team building and school programmes are offered. Participants go through a variety of disability simulations to understand how it’s like living with a disability and also learn various avenues to contribute towards an inclusive society. Under the engagement channel, government organisations and multi-national corporations are engaged to design CSR projects for the disability sector, addressing crucial unmet needs. The team also conduct lessons for caregivers and siblings, promoting better acceptance and understanding and also enhancing their skills to interact and involve their family member with disability. Till date, the team has over 15,000 participants in their events/programs and have also engaged with approximately 400 PWDs.
