About the Company: A Singapore-based e-commerce start-up in a pre-launch phase. Development of the web application is on in full swing, with beta testing and soft launch planned in May / June. Position: Head System Administrator. The candidate will work on the back-end configuration, administration and maintenance of the cloud platform, hosted on a prominent cloud based server. The role is strategic as opposed to supervisory, especially in the initial phase. Looking for a someone who can spearhead and lay a foundation for IT decision making. Job Specs: Candidate will be responsible for decisions on data security and storage, will need to assess data base architecture, server hosting solutions, back-up management, data recovery plans and so on. The role also requires liaising with service providers, monitoring the implementation of web applications, and planning for risk and growth. All decisions will need to be made with the PDPA Act of Singapore in mind. Joining date: As soon as possible! Hours: Work-from-home, part-time position with flexible hours. Candidate should be able to commit about 20 hrs / week. Role requires prior work experience liaising / working within a web development set-up. Ideal candidate would have worked with a start-up before, or been engaged in the inception and execution of a web-based project. Coding experience is a plus. Sincerity and enthusiasm is necessary! Background: -2+ years of Experience with Systems Operations and Administration in a cloud Server Environment. - Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology, or equal experience Compensation: Salary + CPF
