OVERVIEW
Spic & Span's culture of giving back begins with inclusivity in its offices. The property management and cleaning company strongly believes in providing proper and stable employment opportunities to marginalized and vulnerable Singaporeans.
The company began with hiring mature retrenched workers, and has since opened its doors to a great variety of disadvantaged groups, including Yellow Ribbon beneficiaries, the underprivileged, and persons with special needs. To date, Spic & Span has hired more than 50 full-time and flexi-time workers from a wide gamut of differing social backgrounds. The company goes the extra mile to ensure that these employees have a proper support system.
Spic & Span's active efforts in rebuilding and transforming lives have led them to partner with more than 30 Voluntary Welfare Organizations and Social Service Organizations in order to widen their reach. In addition to providing these beneficiaries with jobs, Spic & Span also creates programs to deepen their support for these organizations. The company has developed a vocational curriculum for the Autism Centre, as well as a conflict management system for the Yellow Ribbon Care Network, enabling these organizations to provide better care to their beneficiaries. Spic & Span also works closely with VWOs to customize solutions for individual support systems.
While Spic & Span has had nothing short of an amazing journey as a company, it believes that even greater good can be done by partnering with more like-minded organizations, to build a holistic, continually expanding, and continuously improving ecosystem of corporate giving initiatives.
