Allowing parents to sign consent forms, communicate directly with their children’s teachers in a controlled fashion and getting live updates from them during lessons .etc. The idea behind approaching the problem from “whatsapp” is so as to reduce the learning curve and make it as simple as can be for teachers to adopt using it. It also adds a level of privacy and they can differentiate their personal numbers on whatsapp from work.
