Who are we?
Crowdsourcing Event Organizer for Singapore
We Are One Singapore is a crowd sourcing event organizing group, a social entreprise for local Singaporeans, foreign residence, and visitors, with the aim for everyone to discover deeper about Singapore, connecting people in this vibrant, energetic & diverse city, while doing good for the society. We work with organizations and individuals to create such events that not only lead up to the 50th anniversary of Singapore, but beyond in as a sustainable long term project.
We Are One Singapore is a new chapter of We Are One Japan started in 2009, an international community & a social entreprise in Kyoto.

Sharing Resources
By sharing resources in organizing events, groups and individuals who have brilliant event ideas can have easy access to venues, equipment, marketing tools, volunteers, and funding for their events. WAOS pools our resources together from sponsors, professional event organizers, and individual supporters.
Event organizers can now focus on making their ideas come true.
Know-how for Success
WASO provides consultation and advise to event organizers at no cost, assisting with the event organizing process from concept generation, preparation, execution, to post event follow-ups. We invite experienced event organizers, and industrial players to be our consultants and mentors.
Social Entrepreneurship
With a deeper understanding of Singapore and connecting its people, we encourage people to do good for the society through their events. As our nation development and progress, we wish to offer a helping hand to those in need, and share the prosperity of the country as one people, one nation.
A Community of Singapore's stakeholders
Through numerous events that aim to foster a deeper discovery of Singapore to all the stakeholders in the project, WAOS hopes to create a solid sense of belonging to local Singaporeans, new citizens, foreign residence, and even visitors who have a special attachment to the country.
Telling the Singapore Story to the World
Each events by WAOS will be followed with an article or photo story documenting the experiences, and share the new discoveries through our website, and newsletters. The articles will be translated into numerous languages by our volunteers from different countries, making it a multilingual online portal.

Why are we doing this?
Anyone can be an event organizer
Everyone has different interests and passion, and we would like to invite like-minded people to join us in such meaningful activities, while getting to know more about Singapore. Since individualâs resources are limited, WASO provides all the supports event organizers need to create successful events at no cost. Organizers can now focus their energy on creating awesome events for everyone.Each event is an engagement of the community, and a step closer to our grand celebration of Singaporeâs 50th birthday.
Discovering the Deeper Singapore
The little red dot although small, is already well-known on the international map. However, besides the usual tourist spot, there are a lot more less obvious places, stories, and people that are worth discovering by immersing ourselves into the little details in Singaporeâs everyday life. Participating in events with these themes, we create a deeper understanding and engagement with this city-state.
From online information to real life experiences
There is a lot of online information regarding Singapore, which are viewed by the locals, foreign residence new in town, and visitors from overseas. However, instead of an online presence and passive information feeding, WAOS provides a platform for physical participation, real life experiences, and meeting new people on the sunny island.
Connecting People, Uniting the Nation
Through real life events, WAOS is a place for making new connections. Especially for those new in town, it is an opportunity to get to know the country and its people, while having fun. We encourage local Singaporeans to make new friends among themselves, getting to now different ethic groups of their own country, as we welcome the new comers.
We believe that events are the beginning of all humanity, as new friends, business partners, and couples find one another.
Anyone can be a social entrepreneur
We collaborate with charity organizations, or anyone with a social enterprising idea, and gather other like-minded people to create meaningful events that contribute back to the society. We want to make innovative initiatives to help those in need in our society. As we progress as a nation, we share our success to different levels of the society.
Promotion, publicity & support for "MADE IN SINGAPORE"
By partnering with local establishments for our events, such as using a new cafés/ shops as event venue, getting sponsorship of products/ services in kind, cash sponsorship in exchange for publicity effort, local brands can reach out directly to event participants with more targeted audience. In contrast with online & print advertisement, publicity through events can be more interactive, more engaging, and creative.
CSR & Reaching out for Corporations
WAOS will match the event ideas to suitable corporations in order to achieve their CSR objectives, reach out to the public on their behalf, and engage the community with their brand names. Instead of one off events, recurring events could be held regularly to show corporationsâ support to the society. Instead of overly commercial road shows & product demo, it has never been as engaging as events that are initiated by the community.

Event Organizers
Overall planning, preparing and execution of events
Coordinate and work with marketing, designers and writers for the events
Oversee the smooth running of the events from the start to the end.
Must have endless amount of energy, never-say-die spirit and determination in doing the impossibles. You are the captain, remember?

Advertising and publicity for We Are One events

Working with designers to produce marketing material
Must have good computer and internet skills, good interpersonal skills andbusiness minded.
Designers
Design for the following
*Marketing materials such as posters and flyers
*Layout and display of the website and blog
*Layout and graphics for online newsletter
You can be a professional designer, design student, or just a hobbyist. You will be working with the organizer and marketing people for creating publicity material for our events. We respect and acknowledge your designs and we also hope you can keep to tight deadlines too.
Writers
Join events by our partners to give a write-up of the event for the website.
Write-ups for news letters
Work with marketing and designers on marketing materials
You may write in English, or your mother tongue language, or both. You are recording the journey for We Are One Singapore. Charm our members with your fanciful words, and share your discovery with your friends, and the world.
Translators
We want to tell the world about Singapore. So help us translate our stories into your own languages, and tell your friends at home about what you have been up to in Singapore. You are the embassador of We Are One Singapore for your country.
Photographers
Take photos and videos during the events to capture precious moments.
Document our events through your lens, and tell the story from your perspective.
Work with marketing and designers on marketing materials
You will be presenting our events to the world through the lenses.
Webmaster
Web presence is one of the most important thing for any organization, business and even individual today and a good web master is the only key to achieve that. You will need to have
Web building knowledge and IT skills such as programming in various computing languages.
Up-to-date knowledge about web design trend, internet tools and function.
Knowledge in web conversion, SEO, online marketing, search engine mechanism, internet marketing.
Knowledge in website design, designing tools such as Photoshop and you will be working with the designers, photographers and writers as a team to present We Are One on othersâ monitor screens.
